31 weeks and counting

back at hospital for scan everything ok but baby still measuring to big but dr did say it could be genetic but there is still time to correct it. Diabetic team happy habc1 6.4. The baby is head down with its back to my tummy so not best position to scan as all curled up and dosent keep still when they scan me. Theres no clinic in two weeks so got to have a scan on the wed instead and clinic in three weeks and then another scan a week after that. So i have reserved my seat. They said today they may need to monitor me earlier than 36 weeks but at the moment plan is still to have the baby at 38 weeks cause if its earlier they would have to give me steroids and that can cause problems with my sugars so still looks like 7 weeks and counting.

Room update

Ste and his dad knocked the plaster off last weekend and ste has been working hard to get the room ready for plastering i thought after are hols and couldnt work out why he had to get things done turns out whille we are away barry is coming shouls have been a surprise but never mind. We also fianlly managed to find a home for everything out of the room mainly the loft.

Say hello

At scan again today and ste came with me but no 3d images today. The baby very active when scaning and head is down. Saw the consultant and although the scan dosent show that the water round the baby is high he thinks it is as the scan is only as good as the person doing it but the baby is measuring two weeks more than it should. So they want me to have really tight control. The diabetic team happy with things habc1 6.5 so we carry on back in three weeks as off on holidays but under strict instructions to contact someone if any problems and take my notes.

Hello spud

Hospital visit again but as i am 26 weeks now i have to also have a scan every two weeks so i arrived for my scan Ste dropped me off and carried on to work. As i have a scan every 2 weeks to measure the baby growth he just cant come with me each time so comes to the important appointments. But i had my scan and as she finished she swapped probes the images had been really clear of spud particularly his head but then she showed me spuds face in 3d. I have never wanted a 3d scan as i never sure about the the images they show but it was amazing and why i couldn't tell who he/she looked like they did have a cute button nose. So as you can guess Ste was a bit miffed.

Then as normal i went to clinic my sugars have been creeping up and i have yo increase my insulin quite a bit the last couple of weeks. But the diabetic team were ok with my changes and told me to carry on. But the obstetrician did worn me that there was more fluid than there should be round the baby due to my sugars being raised and while it may correct itself if my sugars are better and its not a problem at the moment they need to keep an eye on it because it may mean i need more monitoring later on but it also could have settled by time i go next. So back again in two weeks.

25 weeks

25 weeks gone allready scary best get a move on with abi's new room. Im getting kicked reguarly and cant believe how big i am and still got 3 months to go.

Hospital visit

Hospital day again today Ste came with me today and we had the usual wait the midwife saw me and checked me as usual and we heard spud heartbeat which is also reassuring. But was worried i may have an infection thy thought this last time but it was clear but as i have been getting some pain in my tummy so i had to see Dr and he gave me a prescription for antibiotics. I then waited for the diabetic team my habc1 is 6.7 so up a little bit but my sugars have been a bit higher which could be just part of me needing more insulin or could be cause i got infection. Anyway that's now me for another three weeks then i start having two week scans. One thing is for sure though spud is lively enougth but certainly takes after Abi because certainly more lively when he/she hears music,

You look Pregnant

I have been conscious that i have had a growth spurt over the last week or two but other people have noticed. I got accused of waddling on Tuesday and today i finally had to admit that my uniforms no longer fit and i don't no why but it seems to take longer than the length of a pregnancy to get maternity uniforms i have had to get bigger size which why there comfy on the bump look and feel like I'm wearing a tent as they are to big on the arms and shoulders and instead of being short sleeves look like three quarter. And caused someone to comment you look pregnant today.
